Mandala Flat Apeldoorn

For the Mandala Flat in Apeldoorn, BVT carried out various fire protection works to further enhance the fire safety of the residential building. The focus of this project was on fire- and smoke-resistant sealing of penetrations and maintaining the integrity of the building's fire compartmentation.

Work in Progress

Within this apartment complex consisting of 125 residential units, we professionally sealed various penetrations through fire-resistant walls and apartment-separating constructions. This included new flue gas penetrations and ventilation ducts, which were fitted with the appropriate fire-resistant sealing systems. The same was carried out in service shafts and meter cupboards.

By correctly sealing these penetrations, the effectiveness of the fire compartments is maintained and the risk of uncontrolled fire and smoke spread is significantly reduced.

What Exactly Are We Doing Here?

In residential buildings, fire compartmentation forms an important foundation for resident safety. When new installations are added, openings are created in walls and floors that can compromise the effectiveness of fire compartments.

With fire-resistant sealing systems, we ensure that these openings once again meet the required standards, preventing fire and smoke from easily spreading between apartments, shafts, and communal areas.

Collaboration and Results

The works were carried out on behalf of Bonarius and carefully coordinated with the daily activities within the residential building. Thanks to efficient execution and close cooperation, the project was successfully completed.

With this project, we contribute to a safer living environment for the residents of the Mandala Flat and help ensure that the building continues to comply with current fire safety regulations.
